Green Sedum Roof
Posted by Max Smith on 29 August 2013 01:36 PM
The Sedum roof comes with a water retention fleece and comes in 1m sheets, it weighs 36-38kg per sq m dry and 40-41 kg per sq m water logged therefore heavy duty trusses with extra support is needed in the building.

Plastic sheeting is needed to protect the felting on the roof (prevent the roots growing into it) then mesh on the sides to allow the sedum to drain and then barge boards to hide the mesh this only has to be on the slanted side.
